Looking for an active family-bonding vacation? Why not learn to sail together. This summer Offshore Sailing School is offering its first Single Parents Week, July 13–18, at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa at Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. Offshore has designed three course options (based on skill level) for single parents and their children, ages 7 to 17. Families will be paired together with a maximum of four students on each sailboat.

Novice sailors can take Offshore’s signature Learn-to-Sail course on the school’s fleet of Colgate 26s. If you already know your way around a sailboat, sign on for the Bareboat Cruising Preparation course, which is taught on brand-new 41- or 49-foot Hunters. If you're keen to learn it all, Offshore offers Fast Track to Cruising, an intensive course that combines Learn to Sail and Bareboat Cruising Preparation in one 10-day program. Participants will earn their Colgate certification and US Sailing certification (following an optional Friday test).
